Terms and Conditions
Scorer (com.creation.scorer) · Anikesh Pathak, individual
developer, Punjab, India · Effective 23 August 2026
These terms govern your use of the Scorer Android app. By installing or using Scorer you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. Using the app
- Scorer is provided free of charge for personal and recreational use in recording and tracking basketball games.
- You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app. You may not copy, resell, reverse-engineer or redistribute it.
- You need a compatible Android device and a Google account. Signing in is required to use Scorer; it identifies you and keeps your games separate from other users'.
- Scorer is intended for users aged 13 and over. If you are under 18, you should use it with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
2. Your account and your content
- You are responsible for keeping your Google account secure. Activity carried out through your signed-in account is treated as yours.
- The game and player data you enter remains yours. You grant us only the permission needed to store, back up and restore it so the app can function.
- Recording other people as players. Scorer lets you enter names for the players in a game. Those people are not users of Scorer and have no account. If you enter someone else's name — including a child's — you are responsible for having a proper basis to do so, and you should enter no more detail than is needed to run the game.
- You may request deletion of your account and data at any time, as described on the deletion page.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose, or to store abusive, offensive or infringing content in player names or notes.
- Attempt to access other users' data, probe or bypass our security rules, or disrupt the service for others.
- Use automated means to overload or scrape the service.
We may suspend or terminate access to the cloud service for accounts that breach these terms.
4. Availability, backups and accuracy
- The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.
- Cloud backup is a convenience, not a guarantee. You are responsible for your own records. Do not rely on Scorer as the only copy of data that matters to you.
- Scores, statistics and timings recorded in the app depend on what is entered by the user. Scorer is a recording tool and is not an official scoring authority for any league, competition or governing body.
- We may change, suspend or discontinue features, or the app as a whole, at any time.
5. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss of data, records or results arising from your use of or inability to use the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
6. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or your use of Scorer is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Punjab, India.
7. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the app develops. The effective date above always shows the current version, and continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
